17.1 To be leaders and good examples to humanity

You are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind,
enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and
believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had
faith, it was best for them: among them are some who
have faith, but most of them are transgressors.
Ch 3: V110

17.2 To call oneself a Muslim and nothing else

... He (Allah) has chosen you, and has imposed no
difficulties on you in religion; it is the way of your father
Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both
before and in this (Revelation) ...
Ch 22: V 78

17.3 Uphold unity

As for those who divide their religion and break up into
sects, you (O Muhammad) have no part in them in the
least: their affair is with Allah: He will in the end tell
them the truth of all that they did.
Ch 6: V159
