- Each block shows a verse range, the text, then a Qur'an-only explanation and key points.
- The goal is clarity and accountability: what the verses say, what they imply, and how to apply them.
- Two verses in this surah explicitly mention prostration themes (noted below) to emphasize humility before Allah.
1.O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the earthquake of the Hour (of Judgment) is a tremendous thing.
2.On the day you see it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling, and every pregnant one will be delivered of her burden, and you shall see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but the punishment of Allah is severe.
3.And among mankind is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge, and follows every rebellious devil.
4.It is decreed for him that whoever takes him for friend, he will indeed misguide him and will lead him to the punishment of the Flame.
5.O mankind, if you are in doubt about the Resurrection, then indeed We have created you from dust, then from a drop of sperm, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed, that We may make (it) clear for you. And We cause to remain in the wombs what We will, for an appointed term, then We bring you forth as infants, then (give you growth) that you reach your full strength. And among you there is he who dies (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the miserable old age, so that after knowledge, he knows nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down water on it, it does thrill and swell and puts forth every lovely kind (of growth).
6.That is because Allah, He is the Truth, and it is He who gives life to the dead, and it is He who is Able to do all things.
7.And certainly, the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it. And certainly, Allah will resurrect those who are in the graves.
8.And among mankind is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge, and without guidance, and without a Book giving light.
9.Turning away his neck (in arrogance) to lead (men) astray from the way of Allah. For him in this world is disgrace, and We shall make him taste, on the Day of Resurrection, the punishment of burning.
10.That is because of what your hands have sent before, and indeed Allah is not oppressor of His slaves.
Qur’an-Only Explanation (22:1–10)
- 22:1 — Fear your Lord: the earthquake of the Hour is truly massive
“O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the earthquake of the Hour is a tremendous thing.”
- Allah is warning all people: the Day of Judgment is real, and it will be extremely serious.
- The “earthquake of the Hour” means: the world will shake in a way people have never experienced before.
- This is Allah telling us: life is not forever, so take your choices seriously.

- 22:2 — The fear will be so huge that people will panic and lose control
“On the day you see it, every nursing mother will forget her baby… and you will see mankind as drunken…”
- Allah describes how terrifying this Day will be.
- A mother feeding her baby will be so shocked she may not even notice her child.
- Pregnant women may give birth early because of fear.
- People will look dizzy and confused like they are drunk, but it is not alcohol—it is pure fear and terror.
- This shows how severe Allah’s Judgment is.
Lesson: The Day of Judgment is not a joke. It is serious.

- 22:3 — Some people argue about Allah without knowledge
“And among mankind is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge…”
- Allah tells us that some people argue about religion without learning.
- They speak confidently, but they have no proof and no real understanding.
- They talk based on guessing and emotion, not truth.
Lesson: Don’t talk about Allah based on guessing. Learn first. Then speak.

- 22:4 — Devils mislead anyone who follows them
“It is decreed for him that whoever takes him for friend, he will indeed misguide him…”
- Allah warns that devils have a mission: to pull people away from truth.
- If someone listens to the devil and follows his whispers, the devil will misguide them.
- That path leads to punishment and the Fire.
Lesson: Not every voice in your head is good. Follow Allah, not whispers that pull you into wrong things.

- 22:5 — Proof of resurrection: Allah created you step-by-step (and revives dead land with rain)
“O mankind, if you are in doubt about the Resurrection…”
- Allah answers doubt with a clear proof: look at how you were created.
- Allah created the human being in stages:
- From dust (your body comes from the earth’s materials)
- Then from a tiny drop
- Then something that clings
- Then a growing piece of flesh
- Then a baby is born
- Then the baby becomes strong
- Some die young
- Some live until very old and become weak again
- Then Allah gives a second proof: the earth can look dead and dry, but when rain comes, it becomes alive and grows plants.
- If Allah can bring “dead land” back to life, then resurrection is not hard for Him.
Lesson: If Allah can create you and revive the earth, He can bring people back too.

- 22:6 — Allah is the Truth, and He gives life to the dead
“That is because Allah, He is the Truth… and it is He who gives life to the dead…”
- Allah is the real Truth—never a lie, never a guess.
- Allah has power over life and death.
- Nothing is difficult for Allah.
Lesson: Trust Allah’s power. He controls life and death.

- 22:7 — The Hour is coming, and Allah will resurrect those in graves
“And certainly, the Hour is coming… and certainly Allah will resurrect those who are in the graves.”
- Allah confirms: the Day of Judgment is guaranteed.
- Allah will bring every person back, no matter how long they were buried.
Lesson: Everyone will return to Allah. No one can escape that Day.

- 22:8 — Some people argue again: no knowledge, no guidance, no clear Book
“And among mankind is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge, and without guidance, and without a Book giving light.”
- Allah shows three things these arguers do not have:
- No knowledge
- No guidance
- No light (no true message to follow)
Lesson: Truth is not based on ego. Truth needs knowledge and guidance.

- 22:9 — Arrogance: turning away to mislead others brings disgrace and punishment
“Turning away in arrogance… to lead people astray… for him is disgrace… and burning punishment.”
- These people are not only ignorant—they are arrogant.
- They act like: “I’m too cool to listen.”
- They try to pull other people away from Allah too.
- Allah warns: they will face humiliation in this life and punishment in the next.
Lesson: Arrogance makes people blind, even when the truth is obvious.

- 22:10 — Allah is never unjust: people earn outcomes by their own choices
“That is because of what your hands have sent before, and indeed Allah is not unfair to His slaves.”
- Allah does not punish anyone unfairly.
- If someone ends up punished, it is because of what they chose and did.
- Allah is always perfectly just.
Lesson: Allah is not ظلم (unjust). People hurt themselves by choosing wrong.
The Day of Judgment is real and terrifying—so take Allah seriously. Don’t speak about Allah without knowledge. Devils mislead people who follow whispers. Resurrection makes sense because Allah created humans step-by-step and revives dead earth with rain. The Hour is guaranteed, and everyone will rise again. Arrogance and ego reject truth and mislead others. Allah is always fair—people receive outcomes based on what they chose and did.

11.And among mankind is he who worships Allah upon a narrow edge, so if good befalls him, he is content therewith. And if a trial befalls him, he turns back on his face. He has lost (both) the world and the Hereafter. That is what is the manifest loss.
12.He calls upon besides Allah that which hurts him not, and that which profits him not. That is what is the straying far away.
13.He calls unto him whose harm is nearer than his benefit. Certainly an evil patron and certainly an evil associate.
14.Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds into gardens beneath which rivers flow. Indeed, Allah does what He intends.
15.Whoever thinks that Allah will not help him (Muhammad) in this world and the Hereafter, so let him stretch a rope up to the sky, then cut it off. Then let him see if his strategy will take away that which enrages (him).
16.And thus have We sent it down as clear signs, and surely, Allah guides whom He intends.
17.Indeed, those who believe (this revelation), and those who are Jews, and the Sabaeans, and the Christians, and the Magians, and those who associate (others besides Allah), indeed Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, Allah is Witness over all things.
18.Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind. But there are many on whom the punishment is justified. And he whom Allah disgraces, so for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills.
19.These twain (believers and disbelievers) are two adversaries who dispute with each other about their Lord. Then as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them. Boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads.
20.With it will melt away what is within their bellies, and the skins.
21.And for them are hooked rods of iron.
22.Whenever they would want to get out of it, from anguish, they will be driven back therein. (It will be said): “And taste the punishment of burning.”
23.Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens underneath which rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk.
24.And they are guided unto gentle speech, and they are guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.
Qur’an-Only Explanation (22:11–24)
- 22:11 — Some people “believe on the edge”: they only like faith when life is easy
“And among mankind is he who worships Allah upon a narrow edge…”
- Allah describes a person whose faith is not steady.
- If good happens: they feel happy and say “Allah is good!”
- If a test happens: they panic, get upset, and turn away from Allah.
- Allah says this person loses both: this world (because they become unstable) and the next world (because they left faith).
Lesson: True belief isn’t based on comfort. Real faith stays strong in good times and hard times.

- 22:12 — Calling on other than Allah is useless: it can’t truly help or protect
“He calls upon besides Allah that which hurts him not, and that which profits him not…”
- Some people start asking help from things that have no real power.
- They worship things that cannot truly protect them.
- They worship things that cannot truly benefit them.
- Allah calls this a clear kind of being lost, because it pulls a person away from the real Protector.
Lesson: Only Allah has real power to help and protect.

- 22:13 — A “protector” that harms you more than it helps you is a terrible friend
“He calls unto him whose harm is nearer than his benefit…”
- When someone follows false gods or false paths, it usually harms them more than it helps them.
- Allah says that is an evil protector and an evil companion.
- Meaning: it looks like “support,” but it drags a person into worse outcomes.
Lesson: Be careful who/what you follow. If it pulls you away from Allah, it’s not good for you.

- 22:14 — Allah’s promise is real: believers who do good will enter Jannah
“Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds into gardens beneath which rivers flow…”
- Allah promises Jannah (gardens with rivers) for those who truly believe and do righteous deeds.
- Allah does what He intends—His decision and promise are not weak or uncertain.
Lesson: Faith + good actions = Allah’s reward.

- 22:15 — No one can block Allah’s support: angry plans cannot beat Allah’s plan
“Whoever thinks that Allah will not help him (Muhammad) in this world and the Hereafter…”
- Some people get angry and assume Allah will not support His messenger.
- Allah replies with a challenge: try any “strategy” you want—see if it removes what makes you angry.
- The point is: Allah’s help is not controlled by people’s anger or plots.
Lesson: Allah’s plan will always win. No one can block Allah’s help.

- 22:16 — The message is clear: guidance is given to those who truly want truth
“And thus have We sent it down as clear signs, and surely, Allah guides whom He intends.”
- Allah says the signs are clear—this is not hidden truth.
- But guidance is a gift Allah gives to the sincere person who actually wants the truth.
Lesson: Ask Allah for guidance and be sincere.

- 22:17 — Allah will judge between all groups fairly on the Day of Resurrection
“Indeed Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, Allah is Witness over all things.”
- Allah mentions different groups of people and makes a key point: final judgment belongs to Allah.
- Allah sees everything—nothing is hidden from Him.
- So fairness is guaranteed, even if people argue now.
Lesson: Don’t worry if people argue now—Allah will judge with complete fairness later.

- 22:18 — Creation submits to Allah; humans should not be arrogant
“Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth…”
- Allah says many things submit to Him in their own way: sun, moon, stars, mountains, trees, animals, and many humans.
- But some humans refuse, and that refusal has consequences.
- Allah honors whom He wills and humiliates whom He wills—no one can override His judgment.
Lesson: Be like the creation that obeys Allah naturally—don’t be arrogant.

- 22:19 — Two sides dispute about their Lord: truth vs rejection
“These twain are two adversaries who dispute with each other about their Lord…”
- Allah describes two opposing sides: believers and disbelievers.
- They disagree about Allah and truth.
- Allah warns that rejecting truth has a serious consequence.
Lesson: Truth matters. Your choices have results.

- 22:20–22 — A warning: rejection leads to deep regret and a punishment people cannot escape
“Whenever they would want to get out of it, from anguish, they will be driven back therein…”
- Allah warns that the next-life punishment for persistent rejection and ظلم (evil) is extremely severe.
- It brings intense regret.
- And it is not something people can simply escape when they feel fear.
Lesson: Don’t play with disbelief, arrogance, and wrongdoing. Allah’s warning is serious.

- 22:23 — Good news repeated: believers will be honored and rewarded in Jannah
“Indeed, Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds to gardens underneath which rivers flow…”
- Allah repeats the good news: believers who do good deeds will enter Jannah.
- Allah describes honor and beauty there—showing it is a real reward, not a small gift.
Lesson: Stay with Allah—He rewards those who try.

- 22:24 — They are guided to gentle speech and the best path
“And they are guided unto gentle speech, and they are guided to the path of the Praiseworthy.”
- Allah describes believers (and the people of Jannah) as people guided to kind speech.
- They follow the best path: the path that leads to Allah’s praise and approval.
- This shows faith is not only beliefs—faith shapes manners and words.
Lesson: Kind words and good manners are part of real faith.
Some people only believe when life is easy, but true faith stays strong in hard times too. Worshipping other than Allah is fake help that leads to harm. Allah will reward believers with Jannah. Allah’s plan always succeeds—nobody can stop it. Allah will judge every group fairly on Judgment Day. Everything in creation submits to Allah—humans should not be arrogant. Rejecting truth leads to deep regret and serious consequences. Believers are guided to good manners, gentle speech, and the best path.

25.Indeed, those who disbelieve and hinder (others) from the way of Allah and al-Masjid al-Haram, which We have appointed for the mankind, equally for those who dwell therein and for those who come from outside. And whoever intends evil wrongfully therein, We shall make him taste of a painful punishment.
26.And when We designated for Abraham the site of the House (saying): “Do not associate anything with Me, and purify My House (Kabah) for those who walk around it and those who stand and those who bow and make prostration.”
27.“And proclaim to mankind the pilgrimage. They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep ravine.”
28.That they may witness things that are of benefit to them, and mention the name of Allah in appointed days over what He has provided for them of the beast of cattle. Then eat of them and feed the distressed and the needy.
29.Then let them complete the prescribed duties for them, and fulfill their vows, and go around the ancient House.
30.Thus (it is). And whoever honors the sacred ordinance of Allah, then that is better for him with his Lord. And cattle have been made lawful for you except those recited to you (as unlawful). So avoid the uncleanliness of idols, and avoid false speech.
31.Turning unto Allah (only), not associating (partners) with Him. And whoever associates (partners) with Allah, it is then as if he had fallen from the sky, then he was snatched by the birds, or the wind had blown him to a far off place.
32.Thus (it is). And whoever honors the symbols (rites) of Allah, then indeed it is from the piety of the hearts.
33.Therein are benefits for you for an appointed term, and afterwards their place of sacrifice is at the ancient House.
34.And for every nation have We appointed a ritual, that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided them of the beast of cattle. For your god is one God, so surrender unto Him. And give good tidings (O Muhammad) to those who humble themselves (to Allah).
35.Those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts are filled with fear, and who are patient over what may afflict them, and who establish prayer, and who spend of what We have provided them.
36.And the camels, We have appointed them for you among the symbols (rites) of Allah, in them is much good for you. So mention the name of Allah over them when they are lined up (for sacrifice). Then, when they are down on their sides (after slaughter), then eat from them, and feed those that are content and those that mention their needs. Thus have We made them (animals) subject to you, that you may give thanks.
37.Neither their meat that reaches Allah nor their blood, but what reaches Him is the piety from you. Thus have We made them subject to you that you may glorify Allah for that to which He has guided you. And give good tidings to those who do good.
Qur’an-Only Explanation (22:25–37)
- 22:25 — Don’t block people from Allah and the Ka‘bah
“Indeed, those who disbelieve and prevent others from the way of Allah and from Al-Masjid Al-Haram…”
- Allah warns against people who do two big wrong things:
- They disbelieve
- And they stop others from worshipping Allah and from reaching Al-Masjid Al-Haram (the Ka‘bah in Makkah).
- Allah explains that the Ka‘bah is for everyone:
- People who live there
- People who travel from far away
- If someone plans ظلم (evil/oppression) in that sacred place, Allah warns of punishment.

- 22:26 — Allah chose the Ka‘bah and gave instructions to Ibrahim
“And [mention] when We assigned to Ibrahim the site of the House…”
- Allah showed Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) where to build the Ka‘bah.
- Allah commanded him:
- Worship Allah alone
- Do not mix Allah with anything else
- And keep the Ka‘bah clean and pure for people who:
- walk around it (Tawaf)
- stand in prayer
- bow and prostrate

- 22:27 — Call people to Hajj
“And proclaim to the people the Hajj…”
- Allah told Ibrahim to call the world to pilgrimage.
- People will come:
- Walking
- Riding animals
- From far and deep places across the earth

- 22:28 — Hajj has benefits, remembrance, and sharing food
“…So they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah…”
- Allah says people come to Hajj for real benefits, including:
- learning good things
- remembering Allah
- thanking Allah for the food and animals He provided
- Allah tells them:
- eat from it
- feed the poor and needy

- 22:29 — Finish Hajj properly
“Then let them complete their rites and fulfill their vows and perform Tawaf…”
- Allah commands pilgrims to complete what they started.
- This includes:
- finishing their duties properly
- keeping promises (vows) they made to Allah
- performing Tawaf around the Ka‘bah

- 22:30 — Respect Allah’s rules and stay away from idols and lies
“That [is so]. And whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah…”
- Allah says respecting His sacred rules is good for you.
- Allah allows eating animals He made lawful.
- But Allah commands people to stay away from:
- idol worship
- lying / false speech

- 22:31 — Worship Allah alone
“And whoever associates others with Allah—it is as if he had fallen from the sky…”
- Allah commands pure worship only for Him.
- Allah gives a powerful example for shirk (associating partners):
- like falling from the sky
- being torn apart
- being blown far away
- This shows how dangerous shirk is spiritually.

- 22:32 — Respect Allah’s symbols
“And whoever honors the symbols of Allah—indeed, it is from the taqwa of hearts.”
- Respecting Allah’s rituals and symbols shows something deeper:
- your heart is filled with taqwa (God-consciousness).
- This means the heart is awake, careful, and reverent toward Allah.

- 22:33 — Animals are useful, then sacrificed near the Ka‘bah
“For you therein are benefits for a specified term…”
- Allah explains animals are beneficial for people for a time.
- Later, their final place of sacrifice is near the Sacred House during Hajj.
- This shows animals are both:
- a gift for life
- and part of worship at the right time

- 22:34 — Every nation had worship rituals – Allah is One
“And for every nation We have appointed a rite…”
- Allah gave every community a way to worship Him.
- But Allah reminds everyone of the main truth:
- Your God is ONE.
- So people should:
- submit to Him
- be humble before Him

- 22:35 — Who are the humble believers?
“The believers whose hearts tremble when Allah is mentioned…”
- Allah describes true believers with clear actions:
- They feel fear and respect when Allah is mentioned
- They are patient during hardships
- They establish regular prayer
- They share what Allah provided

- 22:36 — Camels and animals are Allah’s signs
“And the camels and livestock—We have made them for you among the symbols of Allah…”
- Allah made animals easy and useful for humans.
- Allah taught people to:
- mention Allah’s name before sacrifice
- eat from it
- feed the poor and needy
- Allah says this is so people become thankful.

- 22:37 — Allah doesn’t need meat or blood – He wants your heart
“Neither their meat nor their blood reaches Allah, but what reaches Him is taqwa from you.”
- Allah makes it clear: He does not need meat or blood.
- What reaches Allah is:
- your sincerity
- your piety (taqwa)
- The sacrifice is for your heart and obedience—not Allah needing anything.

Don’t block people from worshipping Allah. The Ka‘bah belongs to everyone. Worship Allah alone and avoid idols and lies. Respect Allah’s rules and symbols. Be humble, patient, prayerful, and generous. Share with the poor. Allah does not need rituals for Himself—He wants sincere hearts.
38.Indeed, Allah defends those who believe. Indeed, Allah loves not each treacherous ingrate.
39.Permission is given to those who fight because they have been wronged. And indeed Allah is Able to give them victory.
40.Those who have been expelled from their homes unjustly only because they said: “Our Lord is Allah.” And if it was not for Allah's repelling some men by means of others, assuredly would have been demolished monasteries, and churches, and synagogues, and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah surely helps those who help Him. Indeed, Allah is All Strong, All Almighty.
41.Those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give charity and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And with Allah rests the outcome of (all) matters.
Qur’an Explanation (22:38–41)
- Verse 38 — Allah protects believers
What Allah is saying:
- Allah says: “I will defend and protect the people who truly believe in Me.”
- But Allah does not love people who are:
- treacherous (they pretend to be good, but secretly betray)
- ungrateful (they keep denying Allah’s blessings and truth)
Child meaning:
- Imagine you are being kind and doing the right thing, and someone tries to hurt you.
- Allah is telling you: “Don’t worry. I see everything. I will protect the believers.”
- But Allah doesn’t like people who:
- lie
- betray
- and act ungrateful after getting so many blessings.
Lesson:
- Allah loves honesty and faith.
- And Allah protects people who are loyal and sincere.

- Verse 39 — Permission to fight (because they were wronged)
What Allah is saying:
- Allah gives permission to some believers to fight only because they were attacked or treated unfairly.
- Allah says: “They were wronged, so now they are allowed to defend themselves.”
- And Allah can definitely give them victory.
Child meaning:
- This is like if a bully keeps hitting someone and stealing their things…
- And the teacher says: “You are allowed to protect yourself now.”
- It’s not about being violent or starting trouble.
- It’s about stopping ظلم (oppression) when people are forced into it.
Lesson:
- Islam does not teach attacking innocent people.
- Allah allowed fighting as defense, when people are being oppressed.

- Verse 40 — They were kicked out of their homes for saying “Allah is my Lord”
What Allah is saying:
- Allah explains what happened to the believers:
- They were expelled from their homes
- They were treated unfairly
- Their only “crime” was saying: “Our Lord is Allah.”
Then Allah says something very important:
- If Allah did not stop some bad people by using other people, then many places of worship would be destroyed, like:
- monasteries (where monks worship)
- churches (where Christians worship)
- synagogues (where Jews worship)
- mosques (where Muslims worship)
- Allah is teaching that oppression would destroy religious places if it was not stopped.
And Allah says:
- He helps those who support His cause.
- Allah is Strong and Mighty.
Child meaning:
- This is like living in a town where people get punished just for saying: “I believe in Allah.”
- And then the bullies start destroying places where people pray.
- So Allah is saying: “I allow good people to stop the bullies, so worship can remain safe.”
- This verse also shows something important:
- Allah mentions mosques AND other religious worship places, because ظلم can destroy everything.
Lesson:
- Allah hates oppression.
- Allah protects worship and prayer from being wiped out.

- Verse 41 — What good leaders do when Allah gives them power
What Allah is saying:
- Allah describes the true believers who deserve leadership:
- If Allah gives them authority (power) in the land, they will:
- ✅ establish prayer
- ✅ give charity (help the needy)
- ✅ command what is right
- ✅ stop what is wrong
- And Allah says: In the end, everything returns to Allah.
- Meaning: Allah is the final Judge.
Child meaning:
- If Allah lets good believers become leaders, they won’t become greedy or evil.
- They won’t use power to show off.
- Instead they will:
- pray
- help the poor
- encourage good
- and stop harmful things.
- And they remember: “One day Allah will judge all of us.”
Lesson:
- True faith shows when someone has power.
- Good leaders use power for worship, justice, and helping people.

- ✅ Allah protects real believers
- ✅ Allah hates betrayal and ingratitude
- ✅ Fighting is allowed only to stop ظلم (oppression) and defend
- ✅ Believers were expelled just for believing in Allah
- ✅ Allah protects places of worship from being destroyed
- ✅ Good leaders pray, help the poor, promote good, stop wrong
- ✅ Allah is the final Judge of everything
42.And if they deny you (O Muhammad), so surely the people of Noah, and (the tribes of) Aad and Thamud, before them, denied (Our messengers).
43.And the people of Abraham and the people of Lot.
44.And the dwellers of Midian. And Moses was denied, so I gave respite to the disbelievers, then I seized them. So how (terrible) was My rejection (of them).
45.Then how many a township have We destroyed while they were wrong doers. So they tumbled down on their roofs. And (How many) wells (lie) abandoned and (how many) lofty palaces (lie in ruins).
46.Have they not traveled in the land, so they have their hearts by which they might understand, or ears by which they might listen. For indeed, it is not the eyes that are blinded, it is rather the hearts in the breasts that are blinded.
47.And they ask you to hasten on the punishment, and Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of that which you count.
48.And how many a township did I give respite to, while they were wrong doers, then I seized them. And to Me is the return.
49.Say: “O mankind, I am only a clear warner to you.”
50.So those who believe and do righteous deeds, for them is forgiveness and a noble provision.
51.And those who strive against Our revelations to frustrate them, they are companions of the Fire.
52.And We did not send before you a messenger, nor a prophet except that when he recited, Satan threw (falsehood) into that which he recited thereof. But Allah abolishes that which Satan throws in, then Allah establishes His revelations. And Allah is All Knower, All Wise.
53.That He (Allah) may make that which the Satan throws in a trial for those in whose hearts there is a disease, and those whose hearts are hardened. And certainly, the wrong doers are too far in their dissension.
54.And that those who have been given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord, so that they may believe in it, and their hearts may submit humbly to Him. And certainly Allah is the Guide of those who believe to the straight path.
55.And those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt about it (this Quran) until the Hour comes to them unexpectedly, or there comes to them the punishment of a disastrous day.
56.The Sovereignty that day will be for Allah. He will judge between them. Then those who believed and did righteous deeds will be in Gardens of Delight.
57.And those who disbelieved and denied Our revelations, so they, for them will be a humiliating punishment.
Qur’an Explanation (22:42–57)
- Verses 42–44 — “People before you also said ‘No’”
What Allah is saying:
- Allah tells Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him):
- “If these people deny you, don’t feel shocked. Many nations before also denied their messengers.”
- Allah lists examples:
- People of Nuh (Noah)
- ‘Aad
- Thamud
- People of Ibrahim (Abraham)
- People of Lut (Lot)
- People of Madyan (Midian)
- Even Musa (Moses) was denied
- Then Allah says:
- “I gave the disbelievers time… and then I seized them (punished them).”
Child meaning:
- It’s like a teacher says:
- “Don’t be sad if some kids don’t listen to you. Other kids in the past also refused to listen to the truth.”
Lesson:
- Rejecting Allah’s message is not new.
- Allah is patient, but there is still accountability.

- Verse 45 — Ruined towns are a warning sign
What Allah is saying:
- Allah says many towns were destroyed because people were doing ظلم (wrong/oppression).
- Now those places are:
- collapsed buildings
- empty wells
- ruined palaces
Child meaning:
- It’s like seeing an abandoned, broken place and realizing:
- “Something bad happened here because people kept doing wrong.”
Lesson:
- The world has “warning signs.”
- ظلم destroys communities.

- Verse 46 — The real blindness is in the heart
What Allah is saying:
- Allah says: “Why don’t they travel and learn?”
- Because the problem is not their eyes.
- Allah says:
- “It’s not the eyes that are blind. It’s the hearts inside the chest.”
Child meaning:
- Someone can have perfect eyesight but still “not get it.”
- Because they refuse to think properly or accept truth.
- It’s like:
- You show someone clear proof,
- but they don’t want to accept it,
- so their heart becomes “closed.”
Lesson:
- Real understanding is not just seeing.
- It’s being honest inside.

- Verse 47 — “Hurry the punishment!” (But Allah’s timing is different)
What Allah is saying:
- Some people mock and say: “Bring the punishment now!”
- Allah answers:
- Allah never breaks His promise.
- But Allah’s time is not like human time.
- “One day with your Lord is like 1000 years of what you count.”
Child meaning:
- It’s like a child saying: “Why is the result not happening now?”
- But the adult knows: “Things happen at the right time. Not at your demand.”
Lesson:
- Don’t think “no punishment yet” means “no accountability.”
- Allah’s timing is wise.

- Verse 48 — Allah gives time, then takes action
What Allah is saying:
- Allah repeats:
- Many towns were doing wrong.
- Allah gave them time (respite).
- Then He seized them.
- And in the end, everyone returns to Allah.
Child meaning:
- It’s like a parent giving warnings many times.
- But if the child keeps doing the same wrong thing, consequences come.
Lesson:
- Allah is patient—but ظلم and denial don’t last forever.

- Verse 49 — The Prophet’s job: warn clearly
What Allah is saying:
- Allah tells the Prophet:
- Say: “O people, I am only a clear warner.”
- Meaning: “I am not here to force you. I am here to warn you clearly.”
Child meaning:
- It’s like a lifeguard saying:
- “I’m warning you because danger is real.”
Lesson:
- The message is a warning and guidance, not coercion.

- Verse 50 — The reward for belief and good deeds
What Allah is saying:
- People who:
- believe
- do righteous deeds
- Will get:
- forgiveness
- noble provision (a generous reward)
Child meaning:
- If you believe in Allah and do good, Allah will treat you with mercy and give you beautiful reward.
Lesson:
- Faith must show in actions, and Allah rewards both.

- Verse 51 — Those who fight the truth
What Allah is saying:
- Some people actively try to stop Allah’s revelations and make them fail.
- Allah says those people become companions of the Fire.
Child meaning:
- These are not people who are just confused.
- These are people who fight the truth and try to destroy it.
Lesson:
- Trying to block Allah’s guidance is a serious sin.

- Verses 52–54 — Satan tries to cause confusion, but Allah protects His revelation
What Allah is saying (simple):
- Allah says:
- Every messenger who recited the message had enemies and interference.
- Satan tries to throw confusion and false ideas.
- But:
- Allah removes what Satan throws in
- Allah strengthens and establishes His real revelation
- Allah is All-Knowing and Wise
- Then Allah explains why this happens:
- It becomes a test:
- People with sick hearts use the confusion as an excuse
- But people of knowledge recognize the truth and submit to Allah
- And Allah guides true believers to the straight path.
Child meaning:
- Imagine someone is telling the truth, and a liar tries to interrupt or spread rumors.
- Allah says: “I will clean away the lies and make the truth stand firm.”
- Then:
- Some people want an excuse, so they follow the confusion.
- Others love truth, so they become even more sure.
Lesson:
- Tests reveal what’s inside a person:
- humble hearts accept truth
- stubborn hearts use confusion to reject it

- Verse 55 — Doubters keep doubting until it’s too late
What Allah is saying:
- Disbelievers will keep doubting the Qur’an until:
- the Hour comes suddenly, or
- a severe punishment comes
Child meaning:
- Some people keep saying “maybe, maybe,” but never take the warning seriously—
- until the moment it becomes real and too late.
Lesson:
- Don’t delay truth. Doubt can become a trap.

- Verses 56–57 — The final day: Allah judges everyone
What Allah is saying:
- On that Day:
- all sovereignty belongs to Allah
- Allah judges between people
- Then:
- believers who did good → Gardens of Delight
- disbelievers who denied the revelations → humiliating punishment
Child meaning:
- It’s like the final results day:
- Everyone gets judged fairly by Allah.
Lesson:
- Allah’s judgment is final and perfectly fair.

59.Surely, He will admit them to a resort with which they shall be well pleased. And indeed, Allah is All Knowing, Most Forbearing.
60.That (is so). And whoever retaliated with the equivalent of that which he was made to suffer, and thereafter wrong was done to him, Allah will surely help him. Indeed, Allah is Oft Pardoning, Oft Forgiving.
61.That is because Allah causes the night to enter into the day, and causes the day to enter into the night. And because Allah is All Hearer, All Seer.

65.Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you (mankind) whatever is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His command. And He withholds the heaven from falling on the earth, except by His permission. Indeed Allah, for mankind, is full of Kindness, Most Merciful.
66.And He it is who gave you life, then He will cause you to die, then He will give you life (again). Indeed, mankind is certainly an ingrate.

69.Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein you used to differ.
70.Do you not know that Allah knows whatever is there in the heavens and the earth. Indeed, that is in a Record. Indeed, that is easy for Allah.
71.And they worship besides Allah that for which He has not sent down authority. And that of which they have no knowledge. And for wrong doers there is no helper.
72.And when Our clear revelations are recited to them, you will recognize in the faces of those who disbelieve, a denial. They are almost ready to attack with violence those who recite Our verses to them. Say: “Then shall I inform you worse than that. The Fire, which Allah has promised those who disbelieve. And worst indeed is that destination.”
73.O mankind, a parable is set forth, so listen to it. Indeed, those whom you call besides Allah cannot create a fly though they gather together for it. And if the fly snatched away a thing from them, they would have no power to release it from him (the fly). Weak are (both) the seeker and the sought.
74.They have not appraised Allah His rightful appraisal. Indeed, Allah is All Strong, All Mighty.
75.Allah chooses messengers from the angels and from men. Indeed, Allah is All Hearer, All Seer.

- they cannot create even a fly.
- And if a fly takes something from them, they can’t take it back.
- Allah says:
- They are weak—both the one who worships and what they worship.
